Way to Grow, Boldness Brings Helpers, Teaching Tidbits & MORE!

Hello, my friend!

I hope you’re doing great! I just got back inside from an exhilarating playtime outside with my one-year-old while my husband was out with the older kids.

One of my favorite things to do is simply watch my baby interact with nature.

The way his eyes sparkle when they latch onto a cardinal jumping from branch to branch…

The giggle that bubbles from his lips when our big dog Jocko licks his head and steals his stick…

The amusing level of focus that settles on his features when he’s transferring sand from one cup to another…

The infectious look of purest glee when he bangs his yellow shovel against the side of a pot. Lord, please let these moments become memories that never, ever fade!

“While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.” – Angela Schwindt

“Children see magic because they look for it.” – Christopher Moore

“A child can teach an adult three things: to be happy for no reason, to always be curious, and to fight tirelessly for something.” – Paulo Coelho

In writing news, my third children’s book, Where Do Animals Go Night-Night, is available now in both Kindle and print formats! Shoutout to my dear, and incredibly talented, friend Annelise who illustrated the book!

Onward with this week’s’ Top 4!

TEACHING TIDBITS

“Teaching isn’t teaching. Teaching is sharing the experience of learning. It’s sharing the spark … Learning happens when people pay attention, not when teachers tell people to pay attention.” – Ian Carroll

Question: Who do you teach in your life? Do you have their attention? If not, why not?

ADD OR SHED = GROW

“There are two ways to grow: by adding or by shedding. Do you need to add something, or do you need to shed something?” – James Clear

BOLDNESS BRINGS HELPERS

“Go at it boldly, and you’ll find unexpected forces closing round you and coming to your aid.” – clergyman and writer Basil King (similar to, “Fortune favors those who dare.”)

Question: What can you boldly do today to bring “unexpected forces” to your aid?

RESPECT AND SELF-ALIGNMENT

“When you are content to be simply yourself and don’t compare or compete, everybody will respect you.” – ancient Chinese philosopher, Lao Tzu

Question: To whom have you been comparing yourself lately? Challenge yourself to replace thoughts of comparison or envy with action steps for becoming stronger in the areas you feel need improvement.

Till next time,
