Powerful Perspective, Dynamite Discernment, & MORE

Hello,  friend!

I hope you’re having a wonderful week thus far! We’re getting ready to travel up to Dallas-Fort Worth for the wedding of two dear friends, an occasion around which we’re planning a mini vacation as well.

But before that, I’m looking forward to an upcoming local pickleball event that I’m super-duper stoked about. Have you ever played pickleball? It combines two of my favorite sports, ping-pong and tennis, so it was love at first volley for me! I’ve only played twice, as I was newly pregnant with my daughter when I was introduced to it, but now that I’m nearly a year postpartum, it’s time to take up my paddle once more.

What’s your favorite recreational activity? I’m always up for suggestions and trying new things, especially if they’re family-friendly!

In this week’s Top 4, I’m sharing wisdom-coated nuggets on perspective, discernment, motivation, and growth. I hope you find it helpful!

Powerful Perspective

“When I understand that everything happening to me is to make me more Christlike, it resolves a great deal of anxiety.” – A.W. Tozer

Dynamite Discernment

The Age of Information we live in is most definitely a double-edged sword. It makes information readily available, easily accessible, and seamlessly transmittable, but with the constant production and consumption of so-called facts and news, it’s difficult to discern truth from falsehood.

No exception can be made within the ranks of Christianity, as more and more questionable teachers, as well as indisputably wicked wolves in sheep’s clothing, are taking to literal and digital pulpits to dispense messages that deviate strongly from the message of the gospel.

In one of his most recent videos, one of my favorite Christian YouTubers, Allen Parr, discusses how we can discern whether a modern-day “prophet” is genuine or false and why it’s so important that we guard our hearts by staying firmly planted in the Word of God. Check out the video HERE.

Mighty Motivation

I love this encouragement from Dr. James DiNicolantonio:

“Who cares if you’re not the biggest, strongest, or leanest person at the gym. As long as you’re putting in the work, then you’re winning. It’s YOU versus you every day. You are your greatest competition.”

Great Growth-o-Meter

I saw this on Pinterest, I think, but didn’t notice an attribution; let me know if you know its author!:

“Growth is when you don’t react to things you used to react to.”

I hope you enjoyed this week’s Top Four! I’ll be back in a couple weeks. Until then, please feel free to reach out any time via Instagram, where I daily post inspirational quotes, workouts, memes and more at @dianatylerauthor. I love hearing from you!
