Pre-Order RING OF WISHES, Paperback Bliss, & More!

Hello, my friend!

I hope you’re having a great week! My crew and I have had a very full and fun day, which kicked off—which it has been for months— with me enjoying an early a.m. quiet time while pumping breastmilk for my almost-10-month-old!

I genuinely love and look forward to my hour and a half of silence before my world wakes up. I sip a tall, cold glass of electrolytes (mixed with Vitamin D and creatine) and find my cozy spot on the bedroom loveseat, smile (at least internally) at my coffee table covered with books, and crack open my Case for Christ study Bible.

This week, I finished the Old Testament book of Hosea and am now in 1st Samuel, which I later revisit with my son Isaiah during or just after breakfast. I’m also reading several wonderful books on homeschooling. Throughout the day, I let my subconscious mind ruminate and reflect on the various nuggets of wisdom I’m ingesting, as well as the myriad a-ha moments that have been crashing into me with every page.

Lately, the simple concept that’s most resonating with me is that “warmth” is the key ingredient to successful homeschooling. And really, shouldn’t it be a key ingredient in any relationship?

Alrighty, onward with this week’s Top 4, starting off with this exciting news…

PEOPLE + BOOKS = EVER-CHANGING YOU

“You’ll be the same five years from now as you are today except for the people you meet and the books you read.”

– Charlie Tremendous Jones

GOOD STRESS VS BAD

“Stress can be very negative, or it can be positive. Without it, life would be boring, for

it motivates us to achieve, to interact, and to adapt. Negative stress involves fears, threats, disasters. It may also be caused by negative emotions, intemperance such as overwork, or even our perceptions of things. We need to know that God is faithful and will help those who trust in him to overcome stressful situations. By resting in him, we can renew ourselves and develop proper mental attitudes, enabling us to be secure and productive.” – Dr. Raymond Moore

PAPERBACK BLISS

“Paperback books are like velveteen rabbits — there to be loved and squeezed and read and stuffed into shoulder bags and left in the sun and read again until there’s nothing left but the best kind of memories.” – Jonathan Edward Durham (@thisone0verhere)

Thank you so much for your support of my writing! It means the world to me!
